James Franco is set to play The Great Wizard of OZ in the prequel to The Wizard of OZ. As with the Wizard of OZ this story starts off in black and white and evolves to the vibrant colors that we have come to expect when we venture to OZ. In this story Franco plays a circus magician with questionable personal practices. He is blown away from Kansas to the vibrant world of OZ. Once in OZ he thinks he has found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and can swindle a new group of people by use all of his old tricks. Because of the magicians tricks and the way he arrived everyone believes he is the fabled great wizard they have been expecting. Unfortunately for him, he runs into three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz), and Glinda (Michelle Williams), that question whether he is the great wizard. After some reluctance to be the man that everyone is expecting him to be, he begins his journey to find out who is good and evil. The story takes us to a magical journey back to OZ with modern effects and the beauty that we all love.
